Spruce tips (Picea abies)

About 300g of fresh spruce tips has been used to get 30g of freeze-dried spruce tips powder. Freeze-dried herbs lock in their bountiful nutrients, taste and odor and retain their healthy properties. Freeze-dried herbs can be consumed all year long

Suggestions for use

A tasty tea can be made out of spruce tips — 0,5 tsp per glass of water, brew for 5 minutes. Hot steam from the spruce tip tea can also be used for inhalation.

Slightly sour spruce tips taste wonderful with honey.

Spruce shoots are a valuable ingredient in making smoothies as well as flavouring meat and fish dishes.

The recommended daily consumption of spruce tip powder is 1-2 teaspoon per day. Herbal teas should be consumed 2-3 cups every day for three weeks in a row.

To make a bath with a refreshing aroma add spruce tips to the bathwater.
